Hope - Save the Planet

"And Man created the plastic bag and the tin and aluminium can and the cellophane wrapper and the paper plate, and this was good because Man could then take his automobile and buy all his food in one place and He could save that which was good to eat in the refrigerator and throw away that which had no further use.  And soon the earth was covered with plastic bags and aluminium cans and paper plates and disposable bottles and there was nowhere to sit down or walk, and Man shook his head and cried:  'Look at this Godawful mess.'" - Art Buchwald, 1970 Conservation is perhaps not as present in today's society as it should be. Taught in schools and communities across the globe, the attitude of 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' is common enough. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind. Reviews:   3/5 - Rotten Tomatoes   3/5 - Metacritic   3.5/5 - Imdb The film rests on an act of courage taken in a time of war - one life saved from a dying planet and given to save another - and sets out to modernize the story of Superman; creating something entirely new through the storyline and Special FX. However, many viewers have called the film cold, dull and lengthy. The beginning of the film starts well, throwing the audience in at the deep e

Christmas 2013

Christmas is a time for family and friends; a time for peace and love, to relax and spend time together. It’s a time to remember those we’ve lost and those we have the privilege of living with, those far away and those less fortunate than ourselves. It is not so much about receiving than giving; an opportunity to make someone else smile and feel loved. For some it’s about remembering the God who loves us, and what he did for us and still does today.   (For the finished film see here: https://vimeo.com/86304357 ) The purpose of this film was to capture one family’s experience of Christmas, from morning till night, and to convey a positive and uplifting atmosphere in which the audience can participate. "Christmas is, of course, the time to be home - in heart as well as body" - Garry Moore. The opening sequence of the film is compiled of pull focus shots that fade from one to the other. This was intended to create a ‘sleepy feeling’; the moment in which the mind is
